Through this community initiative, we're helping support students in northern and remote Indigenous communities by raising funds for essential school supplies and backpacks.

The next time you visit Tommy Gun's, you can make a donation at Guest Services to support True North Aid's Back-to-School Backpack Program. As a thank you, you'll receive a paper backpack to write your name on and display in the shop, helping us showcase support for Indigenous communities across Canada.

Supporting Students in Northern and Remote Indigenous Communities
True North Aid is a Canadian charity dedicated to providing practical humanitarian support to northern and remote Indigenous communities. Through their Back-to-School Backpack Program, they help students access the school supplies they need to begin the year with confidence. Since 2019, True North Aid has delivered over 12,483 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to communities across Northern Canada.
These backpacks contain classroom essentials such as notebooks, pencils, erasers, rulers, calculators, glue sticks, and other items students rely on throughout the school year. Accessing these supplies can be challenging and expensive in remote communities, making school supply donation programs like this an important source of support.
